When our dogs behave in big and difficult ways, it can bring up a lot of shame, blame, and pain within us. I recall one particularly difficult day with Muggins. We had just arrived in the park, and it was a lovely sunny afternoon with a bit of a breeze in the air. It seemed that everyone else in town had the same thought and was also at the park with their dogs. I had come prepared with high value treats and got to work with a familiar exercise to help Muggins remain calm while another dog and human walked past. Muggins did great and I thought we were in the clear. I told them “okay, let’s go!” and started forward. Muggins, thought I meant “let’s go say hello to the dog” and whipped around me in the opposite direction, pulling me right off my feet!

Stunned and embarrassed, I quickly scrambled upright and told Muggins, “All done park!” as I carried my bruised ego and sore bum back home.

During the call, you can also ask questions about my background, philosophy, process, or methods.

During this call, we will not assess your dog’s behavior or any recommendations or advice for reaching your goals (out of respect for my paying clients and the quality of my work, I don’t provide free or “quick” advice).
